We carry the tools.
Now we build them.
Lock City Solutions is a public safety engineering company founded by career firefighters. We design and build hardware, software, and applied science for the fire service—because the people closest to the problem should be the ones solving it.
Firefighters first. Engineers always.
We started on the fireground. We’ve pulled hoselines, forced doors, and worked in conditions where the margin for error is zero. That experience doesn’t just inform what we build—it defines it.
Lock City Solutions was founded because the technology available to the fire service wasn’t built with us in mind. Most of it comes from defense or industrial markets, adapted for public safety as an afterthought. We think that’s backwards.
So we’re building from scratch. Hardware we’d trust on a working fire. Algorithms validated against real-world conditions. Systems designed by the people who actually carry them into buildings.
“The fire service deserves technology built by the people who use it, for the conditions they actually face.”
Physical products. Intelligent systems.
We work across the full stack of public safety technology—from sensors and hardware to the algorithms and software that make them useful in the field.
Hardware Engineering
Purpose-built devices and sensor systems designed for IDLH environments. Ruggedized, reliable, and tested against the conditions that matter.
Applied Science
Sensing, data acquisition, and environmental analysis grounded in peer-reviewed research. We don’t guess—we measure, model, and validate.
Intelligent Software
Edge computing and inferencing that turns raw data into actionable information. Algorithms built for real-time decision support when seconds count.

Built in the field, not just the lab.
Every product we develop starts with a problem we’ve experienced firsthand. We prototype fast, test in realistic conditions, and iterate with direct feedback from working firefighters.
We maintain active partnerships with fire departments to ensure what we build actually works on the fireground—not just on a spec sheet. If it doesn’t perform in smoke, heat, and chaos, it doesn’t ship.
“If it doesn’t work on the fireground, it doesn’t ship.”
We test in the conditions our products are built for. Active department partnerships keep us honest—real feedback, from real firefighters, on real calls.
Let’s talk.
